Frister & Rossman Model A Handcrank
This is an antique German sewing machine, unfortunately separated from its top. German machines have a well deserved reputation for exceptional engineering.

It's a petite little thing, with really nice decals. Serial number is 1585647.

I was told by the previous owner: "A beautiful German made copy of the transverse shuttle Singer # 12. Made in Berlin, Germany after WWI. Sorry, dome top is missing."

The inlay in the base is very nice, a tiny bit buckled at the "Rossman" end.

Hand crank in excellent condition. The machine turns easily, not frozen or rusted, but it does need cleaning.

The faceplate is beautiful!

Extra parts and pieces that are in the drawer include an original Frister & Rossman packet of needles, four feet (gathering, cording/braiding, and two hemmers), two edgeguides, an extra bobbin, and one strange part I can't identify.

As noted, this is a transverse shuttle mechanism. Shuttle and bobbin are in the machine.

This machine recently found a good home in Florida.
